New Project... a long term one!

As if we don't have enough 'projects' in our lives... another one has entered. And I'm really excited  about it. Without further delay, here is the new project...

She is a 1972 Shasta 16SC, and she has the Shasta wings but they were not on her when we picked her up. As a new member of our family (yes, we consider many 'things' members of our family - pets, cars, home, camper) she has to have a name as well. We've decided on Rosie Rae (Rose is Jan's middle name and Rae is mine... hence Rosie Rae)... or R&R. We actually thought the RR could mean 'rest and relaxation'... or you know the sound most men make when they feel proud of something they've done? Heehee :-). Anyway, Rosie Rae needs a lot of work (in our opinion) before we can take her out on her first adventure. We want to brighten her up... give her a more girly look. And since we are not professional renovators, there may will be a lot of trial and errors no doubt. .

Here are couple more pictures of Rosie Rae as she looked when we brought her home.

This is the back of Rosie Rae... the sofa and table and benches.

The kitchen - she has a refrigerator, sink and stove/oven.

And here's another view of the table and benches.
There's also a bathroom but I did not download that photo. It's pretty small. Just a toilet and shower combo. But hey... at least we won't have to 'hit the woods' when nature calls - right?

We have already started on some of the renovations... I'll be posting those pictures in my next blog. Hope you will join us on the journey of renovating Rosie Rae. Oh... and PLEASE leave tips, hints, opinions and comments... anything that you think will help us on this new endeavor.

And now... the journey begins!!!

  1. Yea!!! I can't wait to follow along and cheer you on.
