Hall Tree for the Family

A while back, I found a really neat way to display family photos. Here's a link to the page where I found this image.
I carried this picture around for a while looking for someone that could paint it, cut the vinyl for it... or something. And I finally found someone that did an awesome job. I found her one day while she was painting a mural on a cross that is displayed in front of a local church. She's been painting this cross with different murals for several years and I have always admired the work she did. Her name is Kim Cook - she is so talented!!

Now, let me start by saying I didn't have a room in my house where I could do this project just like in the picture so I started thinking and thought to myself "where do most people put up family photos?" In hallways and down staircase walls. And yes... that's where most of my family photos were hanging as well. So... I decided to have Kim do 'her thing' and use her judgement. Here are some of the pictures I took today when she finished... I don't have all of my photos framed and back up on the wall yet but I am so excited about how this turned out I had to share what I have so far. Believe me, I'll be out shopping for a few new frames so I can get all of my photos back up on the wall.

My hallway will never be the same. Usually you just hurry down the hall and race down the stairs - but now you will want to stop and really look at the photos that will hang on this 'hall tree for the family'.

Thank you sooooo much Kim for the awesome job. And yes... I have at least one more project for you to do. Can't wait for you to get started.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit!

  1. Is this beautiful tree painted by hand? In any case, it is gorgeous and I wish whoever painted it lived close to me! What a special way to display your family's photos!
    I truly love this!!
